Motoring in a 1940 Packard Coupe was a step back in time for Taradale Rest Home residents in February.
Napier Art Deco’s annual celebrations were underway, and it was a good reason to put on the glitz at NDMT and enter the fun.
Residents and staff toe tapped to music from the era, sipped on bubbles and enjoyed the parade of pearls, furs, tassels and boaters at the Fashion Flaunt put on by the Masonic team. No encouragement was needed for some to kick up their heels and dance the Charleston to Janis Dunning crooning melodies from the era.
