It was all about style and elegance for residents and staff at the Napier District Masonic Fashion in the Fields event on Melbourne Cup Day. The race day atmosphere was vibrant and full of expectation at Taradale Rest Home and Elmwood Memory Care Hospital, as jaunty hats, colourful shirts and designer sunglasses paraded the catwalk and that was just the men. The ladies stole the show with fantastic fascinators, hats adorned with flowers and spring fashion dresses.
The Best Hat, The Best Dressed Man, The Best Dressed Woman, The Best Variety and the Overall Winner received prizes. But judging by the smiles and laughter everyone was a winner on the day.
